French engineers begin drilling hole in glacier under Mont Blanc to pump out water from hidden lake

25 Aug 2010, Saint Gervais Les Bains, France : French engineers on Wednesday began an operation to remove 2.3 million cubic feet of water underneath a glacier on Mont Blanc, which threatens to flood the Saint Gervais valley, a popular tourist area, BBC reported.
